As of May 2021, a total of 780,407 people have been posted on state sex offender registries. Regarding all 51 registeries, Texas and California take the lead for obtaining the highest number of sex offenders. According to SafeHome security experts, there has been "an increase of about 32,000 from their previous analysis in 2019. 
Anyone can be a victim of sexual assault, but women and girls are especially at risk. Females are
more than six times as likely as males to be victims of sexual assaultix. Children are particularly
